Advice for writing a report (EN)

If you're not confident in English, write in Korean first, which is why I've shared the _kr.md file. Once you've finished writing the Korean report, convert it to English with a translation service like DeepL to create the md file.

Don't follow the order of the report template. Save the summary for last. As you research a project and come across something relevant, write it down in the report file immediately. Don't think about writing it down later.

When researching a project, prioritize whitepapers and docs. The website and other documents may have a lot of marketing rhetoric.

The most up-to-date information is on X, Discord, or Telegram. Don't just look at the website or articles, get into the project community - you'll know exactly what they're working on.

The best way to understand a project is to try it out: install an app or use a service or SDK. It doesn't have to be perfect, and if you fail along the way, just document the process. What the project says it does may not be what it actually does.

To analyze the token economy, check out Coinmarketcap and Icodrops for the current status of tokens and TGE/Funding. The key to a token economy is to balance the supply/demand of the token. Pay attention to the token's circulating supply, issuance plans, inflation, etc.

Most projects publish their Github. Take a look at the repo structure on Github to see how active it is and how many contributors there are. Research the contract address and check it out with block explorer. Dig into the smart contract code and look at the transactions. Search for the project in Dune and analyze the blockchain data.

Do research on industries related to your project with AI, it's optimized for this kind of work. ChatGPT's results table is in markdown format, so you can copy and paste it into your report. Make AI work for you.

The most important thing is to analyze why it needs to be blockchain. Often, blockchain is used artificially to issue tokens when it's not needed. Critique aggressively why blockchain is needed.

At the end, write a lot of comments about the project, even if they are rudimentary. Don't filter your ideas through yourself. Even the most trivial idea can be an insight for someone else.

It's not important to write the report itself, that's what ChatGTP does well. What's important is your ability to understand and criticize the project. Writing a report is a formal assignment. I want you to understand, think, and criticize along the way.

프로젝트를 가장 잘 이해할 수 있는 방법은 바로 사용해 보는 것입니다. 앱을 설치하거나 서비스나 SDK를 이용해 보세요. 완벽하지 않아도 좋습니다. 중간에 실패하더라도 그 과정을 기록하면 됩니다. 프로젝트가 하는 말과 실제는 다를 수 있습니다.

토큰 이코노미를 분석하기 위해서는 Coinmarketcap과 Icodrops에서 토큰의 현황과 TGE/Funding을 알아보세요. 토큰 이코노미의 핵심은 토큰의 수요/공급의 밸런스를 맞추는 것입니다. 토큰의 유통량과 발행계획, 인플레이션 등을 잘 살펴보세요.

대부분 프로젝트는 Github을 공개합니다. Github에서 Repo 구조를 살펴보고 활동량이 얼마나 되는지, 기여자가 얼마나 되는지 확인해 보세요. Contract 주소를 조사해서 block explorer로 확인해 보세요. 스마트 컨트랙트 코드를 훓어보고 트랜잭션 현황을 살펴보세요. Dune에서 프로젝트를 검색해서 블록체인 데이터를 분석해 보세요.

프로젝트와 관련된 산업에 대한 조사는 AI와 함께 하세요. 이런 일에 최적화되어 있습니다. ChatGPT의 결과 테이블은 마크다운 형태라 그대로 복사해 보고서에 붙여 넣을 수 있습니다. AI를 적절히 활용하세요.

가장 중요한 것은 왜 블록체인이어야 하는지 분석하는 것입니다. 블록체인이 필요하지 않은데 토큰을 발행하기 위해 인위적으로 사용하는 경우가 많습니다. 냉정하게 분석해서 블록체인이 용도에 맞게 적용되었는지 비판해 보세요.

마지막 부분에 프로젝트에 관한 의견은 초보적이어도 괜찮으니 많이 적어주세요. 스스로 아이디어를 필터링하지 마세요. 아무리 하찮은 아이디어라도 누군가에게는 인사이트가 될 수 있습니다.

보고서를 쓰는 것 자체가 중요한게 아닙니다. 그건 ChatGTP에 맡기면 바로 나옵니다. 중요한건 여러분이 프로젝트를 이해하고 비판할 수 있는 능력입니다. 보고서 작성은 형식입니다. 그 과정에서 제대로 이해하고 깊이 생각하고 비판하기 바랍니다.
